It is perfect for professionals in their first 2-5 years of practice with ongoing client work or anyone looking to refine their approach and polish their portfolio.
INK TANK is a six-week series of Friday seminars starting on the 31st of January 2025, 10 - 12pm, designed specifically for illustrators seeking to hone and master their craft's creative and business sides. These engaging and fun sessions will help your creative thinking and empower you with the tools, strategies, and insights to build a thriving illustration career. The sessions will be a mixture of creative input and thinking, practical business advice and tips, and peer/ group critique.
What makes this course different from all the others online? I have 24 years of experience in publishing and children’s book illustration, and I bring a deep understanding of what it takes to build and sustain a creative career through the ups and downs. My heart is to genuinely help you succeed and avoid some pitfalls; I want to equip you with the skills needed to thrive in this highly competitive industry.

1. Course Overview
THE INK TANK is a six-week seminar series designed for illustrators in their first 3-5 years of practice. These sessions provide insights into best practices, portfolio development, income streams, idea generation, pitching, and managing workflow.
2. Payment and Registration
Full payment is required to secure your place in the course.
Participants agree to these terms and conditions by registering for THE INK TANK.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations made more than one week before the start of the course are eligible for a full refund minus a 10% administration fee.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within one week of the course start date.
Missed sessions will not be refunded or rescheduled.
4. Content Ownership
Sarah Horne owns the intellectual property of all course materials, including recordings, presentations, handouts, and related content.
Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or share any course content without prior written consent from Sarah Horne.
Breach of this condition may result in legal action.
5. Behaviour and Conduct
Participants are expected to maintain respectful and professional behaviour throughout the course.
Disruptive, inappropriate, or harmful behaviour will not be tolerated.
Sarah Horne reserves the right to remove any participant from the course without a refund if their behaviour negatively impacts others.
6. Right to Exclude or Block Participants
Sarah Horne reserves the right to block or exclude any participant who breaches these terms and conditions, engages in unethical practices, or violates the rules of conduct outlined in Section 5.
In such cases, no refunds will be provided.
7. Liability
While every effort is made to ensure the quality of the course, Sarah Horne is not responsible for any technical difficulties, disruptions, or issues outside of her control.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they can access the necessary tools and technology to participate in the course (e.g., stable internet connection).
8. Privacy and Confidentiality
Participants’ personal information will be kept confidential and used solely for course-related communication.
Sarah Horne will not share or sell participants’ details to third parties.
9. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
Sarah Horne reserves the right to update these terms and conditions anytime. Participants will be notified of significant changes.
